Celebration of St. Petka during liturgy at St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, Jackson, Calif. St. Petka (Saint Paraskevi), patron saint of the St. Sava Church's KSS (Circle of Serbian Sisters).

St. Petka lived 1000 years ago and is venerated today by Serbian, Bulgarian and Romanian Orthodox because of her life dedication entirely to God through prayer and fasting, and then undertook ascetic struggles in the desert of Jordan, despite her noble upbringing.
