Slava of the Dormition of the Theotokos (Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary), celebrating the namesake of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Sacramento (Fair Oaks). Leading this Hierarchial Liturgy included Bishop Maxim of the Western American Diocese and Bishop Justin of Zica, Serbia. Visiting priests included iconographer Fr. Stimatis from Athens, Abbot Theodosy from the Decani Monastery in Kosovo, Frs. Dane and William from Fair Oaks and Deacon Dragan Stojanovich from Jackson. The morning liturgy concluded with the clergy and parishioners encircling the church followed by the blessing of the kolach, lunch and finally Kolo dancing by Serbian youth of the parish.
