Originally stared in the 1870s in Ione, the Amador County Fair, 26th District Agricultural Association's annual exhibition started on just a few areas next to the school in Plymouth in 1938. Since then, this annual 4+ day event has consistently won awards for innovation and content, making the one of the best small-county fairs in the United States.
