Gradac Monastery, Serbia 19 images Created 3 Apr 2013

The Serbian Orthodox Monastery of Gradac dates back to its founding in the 13th century. Miloje, Zorica and I visited for a couple of hours on out way from Milešiva to Belgrade.

The monastery was virtually abandoned during the Ottoman rule. It wasn't until the 1960s and 1970s that the monastery was reconstructed and the 1980s when the monastery was revived.
