Krušivcie, Montenegro, is a small hill town about 15 km above the port city of Herceg Novi. Off the beaten path, this village is the home of the Dabovich family. The Dabovich family immigrated to San Francisco in the middle of the 19th century during Gold Rush times. They gave birth to a son who would become Archimandrite Sebastian Dabović, first American born Serbian Orthodox priest, missionary and founder of St. Sava Church, Jackson, Calif., first Serbian Orthodox Church consecrated in the Western Hemisphere.
Descendants of the Dabović family continue to live in the village.
