St. Basil Church 100th Anniversary 50 images Created 16 May 2010
Founded by Serbian immigrant miners in 1910, St. Basil of Ostrog Serbian Orthodox Church in Angels Camp, Calif., celebrated its 100th Anniversary on May 10, 2010 with a divine liturgy service officiated by His Grace Bishop Dr. Maxim of the Western American Diocese.
Following the service was a dedication and memorial ceremony in honor of the parish founders at the Angels Camp Cemetery where a monument was dedicated.
The day was completed with a banquet held at the Metropolitan in San Andreas with a blessing of the kolach.
St. Basil is the third Serbian Orthodox Church founded in the Western Hemisphere.
