Vranje, Serbia dates back to Roman times in the 2nd and 1st centuries, BC and is located in southern Serbia. It is known for the White Bridge, a symbol of the city and named the "lovers bridge" for the tale of the forbideen love between a Muslim girl and Christian man resulting in the father killing the couple.
