Bottom is the water intate for the East Bay Aquiduct supplying water for Oakland. ..Name for then California Governor Pardee in 1929, it was the world's tallest concrete arch dam at 345 feet above the river bed and held that record until 1936 when Hoover Dam at 745 feet took the record.
